Join us for a grand Indian expedition — loud, colorful, sacred, spicy, and deeply embodied.
Our ethnic deep dive begins with Holi in Vrindavan. Colors will fly at us from windows, alleyways, and temple courtyards. We may lose our familiar appearance, but we’ll find the right vibe: in India, not everything needs to be controlled — sometimes you simply have to step inside.
From there, we dive into pink Jaipur. We’ll dress in saris and kurtas, take photos in palace courtyards, watch the sunset from fortress walls with hot masala chai in our hands, and dine as if we were, at least for one evening, a little bit maharaja.
Next, we fly to Varanasi — the City of Light and the City of Death. Here, the Ganges is not just a river, but a threshold between worlds.
We’ll see the flames of the cremation ghats, greet the sunrise from a boat, visit a training session of local akhara wrestlers, follow a food tour through narrow alleyways, and watch the evening Aarti from the front rows.
And then India will suddenly change its rhythm. Instead of heat, crowds, and temple bells — the tea slopes of Darjeeling, misty Himalayan views, an old historic estate near the plantations, a Buddhist puja close to the Nepalese border, and tea that we’ll pick with our own hands, watch being processed at the factory, and take home not as a souvenir from a shop, but as a piece of our own story.
We end in Kerala: Chinese fishing nets at sunrise in Kochi, Kathakali theatre, Lake Kumarakom, kayaking through morning canals, the ocean in Kovalam, Ayurvedic massages, yoga, sound healing, and a farewell dinner by the sea.
This will not be India just to tick the box, but a grand kaleidoscope of a route: colors, fire, tea, spirituality, the body — and a touch of full-on Shantaram.
