PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
This expedition is all about hiking, heights, and breathtaking beauty. Along picturesque mountain paths, serpentines and fjords – to where the sun never sets. Where the world’s tallest bonfire blazes, and waterfalls plunge straight into the ocean amidst the cries of thousands of seabirds.
The route consists of two parts.
The surroundings of Ålesund, Norway, where we will witness the spectacular celebration of the Summer Solstice.
The Faroe Islands, where even at the peak of the season there are no crowds — only seabirds, sheep, lush green cliffs, and the endless Atlantic.

1. accommodation along the route (double accommodation in 4* hotels) + snacks;
2. car rental (4 people per car);
3. gas stations, toll roads, tunnels, ferries, parking;
4. flight Norway - Faroe Islands with luggage;
5. rental of kayaks, speedboats, permits for paid hikes;
6. Support the author of the program.
7. airport pick-up if you arrive on the first day of the program between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m.
1. international flights (start - Alesund, Norway / finish - Tórshavn, Faroe Islands);
2. food, besides snacks;
3. insurance for active repairs.
Each camper needs one, preferably two drivers with international licenses, as participants drive their own jeeps throughout the route.
IMPORTANT!
Due to the fact that our expeditions do not include international flights to the starting point of the program, we cannot be held responsible for changes in flight conditions by airlines or airport requirements. Since our travelers fly from many different countries and cities, we never participate in the purchase of air travel and limit ourselves exclusively to advisory services in the selection of flights. Air agents or airlines from which tickets were purchased are responsible for the purchase and technical support.
Program
Day 1
June 19 — Arrival in Ålesund
We meet in the Art Nouveau capital of the fjords — Ålesund. The city looks like a postcard: colorful houses with turrets, narrow streets, canals, and water reflections everywhere. Accommodation in the cozy Quality Hotel Waterfront 4* for the 2 nights.
In the evening, we will hold a briefing and introduce the group.

Day 2
June 20 — Kayaking on the fjord, Troll Steps, and the highest bonfire
After breakfast, we jump into jeeps and head to Geirangerfjord, one of the most beautiful fjords in Norway. The road takes us over mountain passes, past turquoise lakes, and snow-capped peaks.
A short hike brings us to a panoramic viewpoint: below lies the fjord, squeezed between steep cliffs, with tiny tourist boats gliding across its surface like toys.

Next, we descend to the village and rent double kayaks. We paddle across the glassy water, surrounded by towering cliffs and waterfalls. These three hours of pure silence are about the power of water, and merging with nature.
On the way back, we'll stop by where the trolls are...

Heading to Trollstigen, the legendary “Troll’s Road” — one of Norway’s most iconic mountain drives.
The serpentine road clings to the cliffs, twisting sharply with each turn like a scene from a movie. We will drive it slowly, stopping at panoramic viewpoints to soak in the grandeur of the place.

In the evening we return to the hotel, change, enjoy dinner, and head to the waterfront for Slinningsbålet — the world’s tallest bonfire.
Built by locals entirely by hand, the wooden tower soars as high as a 15-story building!

Close to midnight, the blazing structure collapses in flames. When the rain of sparks and ash fades, the celebration continues on the island. A magical and vibrant experience — just avoid synthetic clothes and wear something you don’t mind getting a little sooty.

Day 3
June 21 — Bergen
Afterwards, a light hike along the road, streams, stone bridges, and meadows with views of cascading waterfalls. At the top, we enjoy packed lunches overlooking the valley.
We return to Alesund and, if desired, go to the sauna on the embankment. We warm up properly, and then jump into the fjord.

Day 4
June 22 — Flight to the Faroe Islands & First Cliffs
We have breakfast, walk five minutes from the hotel to the terminal, and say goodbye to Norway.
Hello, Faroe Islands! Already in the porthole it becomes it becomes clear the landscape is different. These are sheer cliffs, lush green grass even on rooftops, and the ocean that seems endless.

Upon arrival, we pick up new cars and settle in for four nights at the Brandon Hotel 4* in central Tórshavn. Comfortable rooms and a sauna — perfect for recovering after each hike.
A walk along the harbor before heading to one of the Faroes’ highlights — Trælanípa, the cliff with the famous “floating lake” illusion.

We follow the trail along Lake Sørvágsvatn and emerge onto a sheer cliff with a view of the ocean and the Bøsdalafossur Waterfall, plunging from the plateau into the roaring Atlantic. Standing on the edge, with wind, spray, and thunder beneath you, is unforgettable.

Return to the hotel with the feeling of having reached the edge of the world.
Day 5
June 23 — Sea Cave, Waterfall & Tea with Waffles
In the morning, a short transfer to the pier and a quick change into protective suits. We board RIB62 speedboats and head out to sea — first skimming along cliffs where hundreds of seabirds nest, then venturing into the open waters between towering rock walls.

The highlight of our sea journey is the largest sea cave in the world, accessible only from the water. We enter its vast, echoing chamber, turn off the engines… and listen to live music, played just for us.

On our way back to shore, we head to Fossá Waterfall, the highest in the Faroe Islands.
A short hike takes us to the spot between its two cascades. Here, we can step behind the curtain of water into a grotto, then spread out blankets overlooking the fjord for a picnic lunch.

On the way back, we stop in a small village, where homemade waffles and hot tea await us.
Day 6
June 24 — Kalsoy, Bond’s Lighthouse & the Hawks’ Plateau
After breakfast, we head north and take a ferry to Kalsoy Island, a long, narrow strip of land stretching like a flute. Few people live here — it’s mostly grass, sheep, and rugged mountains.

Our goal is the Kallur Lighthouse, made famous by its appearance in the James Bond movie. A memorial to Bond now stands here.
We hike up gentle hills to the lighthouse, surrounded by endless horizons and puffins circling above the cliffs.

For those who want more, there’s an option to continue higher along goat trails to a mountain plateau with a small lake, offering sweeping views across the northern archipelago. It's important to stay close to the edge - hawks nest deep in the plateau, and they are not happy about uninvited guests at all. This is their land.

Return to the hotel for rest.
Day 7
June 25 — Enniberg: The Edge of the Earth
Today marks the main hike of the expedition — to Enniberg, one of the highest sea cliffs in the world, rising more than 750 meters straight out of the ocean.
Along the way, we stop to greet the cutest yaks, photogenic, shaggy and charismatic.

The ascent takes about 2.5 hours: over slopes, rocks, and sometimes without a clear trail. But the views are spectacular — fjords, terraced cliffs, and seabird colonies stretching across the skies.

At the top, we lie down on our stomachs at the very edge. Below, gulls and kittiwakes circle; even further down, the ocean waves crash into white spray.
This is a truly wild, untamed, and majestic place — the culmination of our expedition.

We return tired but exhilarated. The sauna awaits. Tonight is our final night on the islands.
Day 8
June 26 — Farewell
After breakfast, we pack up and head to the airport. We take with us the main souvenirs – memories:
The heat of the giant bonfire and music echoing in the sea cave. Fjords, serpentines, and waterfalls. Meditative kayaking and thrilling speedboats. Diving hawks and playful puffins. The wind on the cliff’s edge, the warmth of evening saunas, and the endless white nights we will miss on the mainland.
All of this is now yours.
