For many years we have been traveling across amazing Indonesia, deeply loving this country, and now we have prepared for you a large, very насыщенная and extremely exciting expedition.
Our expedition consists of four unique blocks, completely different from each other, allowing you to experience the incredible diversity of Indonesia.
Indonesia is an archipelagic country made up of more than 17,504 large and small islands, scattered across the waters of the Pacific and Indian Oceans. 10,500 islands are uninhabited, and only about 7,000 are populated. Some islands are smaller than one hectare.
The largest island in the world is Greenland. The second and third largest islands are New Guinea (half of which belongs to Indonesia) and Borneo, also known as Kalimantan, most of which is Indonesian.
The most densely populated island in the world is also part of Indonesia — Java, home to 145 million people.
Indonesia lies along the Pacific Ring of Fire, making it one of the world leaders in volcanic activity. As of 2012, Indonesia had 127 active volcanoes. Earthquakes of magnitude 4–5 are common here.

Indonesia has preserved a vast number of island tribes and ancient traditions, which is especially valuable in today’s globalized world.

We begin our journey on Bali, where we will get acquainted with the culture and traditions of one of the most fascinating islands on Earth.
Next, we head to Komodo National Park, traveling on small converted fishing boats, where we will spend three unforgettable days. We will meet the legendary Komodo dragons, swim, snorkel, and relax under the tropical sun.w!

After that, we return to Bali to explore the northern part of the island in more detail, and then travel by comfortable minibuses to Java Island, where we will visit two extraordinary volcanoes in the Bromo and Ijen National Parks, which impress even the most experienced travelers.

After exploring Java’s volcanoes, our team will fly to Borneo (Kalimantan), where we will spend three days in close contact with the incredible orangutans.

We will finish our journey where it began — on Bali Island. This expedition will be intense, diverse, and deeply inspiring. Let’s start preparing right now!

ITINERARY
Day 1
(08.07.26)
Arrival on the island of Bali at Denpasar International Airport (DPS). Transfer to the Ubud area (central part of the island). Accommodation in a cozy and comfortable 4* hotel. Free time for rest and relaxation.

Day 2
(09.07.26)
Our first introduction to the unique island culture of Bali. We wake up early, have breakfast, take our swimwear, board the minibuses, and head to one of the most sacred temples on the island — Tirta Empul. The temple complex was built in 962 AD in honor of the god Vishnu. On its grounds lies a legendary spring which, according to Hindu beliefs, heals illnesses and purifies not only the body but also the soul.

Upon arrival, we listen to the guides’ instructions, receive special sarongs for temple visits and bathing, change clothes, and begin our spiritual cleansing. First, we bathe in the springs meant for stress relief, karma cleansing, and restoring harmony between man and woman, and then immerse ourselves in the most important fountains used to remove curses and cleanse the chakras.

After a short meditation at the temple, we head to the iconic rice terraces of Bali and enjoy their breathtaking beauty.
Following the sacred bathing ritual, we travel to a special location for a morning sound healing ceremony.

We will tune you into the right vibrations! Please try not to fall asleep or snore during the ceremony — don’t embarrass the Paganel team 😉
Next, we return to the rice terraces and enjoy a walk of about an hour.

Afterward, we head to the center of Ubud, where you’ll have free time for lunch or strolling through the streets and shops.

We return to the hotel for a short rest — shower, swimming pool.
At 6:00 PM we gather at the reception, board our minibuses, and head to the Tea Temple, where a tea ceremony combined with a private concert awaits us, arranged exclusively for the Paganel team.

After the concert, we hold the traditional Paganel welcome evening and present personalized expedition T-shirts and badges.
Return to the hotel. Dinner. Rest.
Meals: breakfast included.
Day 3
(10.07.26)
Very early departure to Denpasar Airport for our flight to the island of Flores, arriving in the town of Labuan Bajo. Upon arrival, transfer to the port. We board our boats, which will become the Paganel team’s home for the next couple of nights.

Preparation for departure to sea for a three-day expedition through the islands of Komodo National Park. Sailing toward Padar Island. Along the way, we stop at any islands that catch our interest.

Plenty of swimming and snorkeling. Lunch on board.
In the evening, we watch thousands of flying foxes leave the floating mangrove islands for their nightly feeding.

Overnight on board near Padar Island. Accommodation in air-conditioned cabins for four people. Dinner on board. Rest and stargazing under the incredible night sky of Komodo National Park.

Meals: breakfast, lunch, and dinner included.
Day 4
(11.07.26)
Early wake-up before sunrise. We take flashlights, board the boats, and head to Padar Island for landing. Then a short trek of about 20–30 minutes to welcome the sunrise. The views here are absolutely stunning, and this sunrise will surely stay in your memory.

We return to the boats, freshen up, and have breakfast. Then we sail to the famous Pink Beaches.

We spend several hours here swimming in incredibly clear, turquoise waters and relaxing on the uniquely pink-colored sand. You’re guaranteed to take dozens, if not hundreds, of amazing photos.

Next, we head toward Rinca Island, where we will meet the famous Komodo dragons.

We land on the island, obtain the necessary permits for Komodo National Park, and, accompanied by local rangers, go on a trekking walk across Rinca Island.

Afterwards, we return to our boats for lunch and then sail to the point where the Pacific and Indian Oceans meet. If we are lucky, we may see giant manta rays and even swim with them.

We find a cozy bay for the night, drop anchor, relax, and enjoy dinner.
Meals: breakfast, lunch, and dinner included.
Day 5
(12.07.26)
We wake up slowly and peacefully. Breakfast. Swimming. Enjoying another beautiful day in Komodo National Park.

After breakfast, we lift anchor and sail toward Kanawa Island. Upon arrival, we jump straight into the water for swimming and snorkeling. These waters are famous for their coral reefs and vibrant marine life.

Lunch. Sailing to Flores Island. Farewell to the captains of our boats. Don’t forget to tip the crew. Transfer to Labuan Bajo Airport and flight back to Bali.

Upon arrival in Denpasar, we board waiting minibuses and travel to Ubud (approximately 1.5 hours). Check-in at a cozy 5* hotel.

Time to refresh after the Komodo expedition: shower, rest, coffee. In the evening, we gather at the hotel reception at 6:00 PM.

We then head to one of Ubud’s temples. According to the program, we attend a traditional Balinese theater performance featuring the iconic trance dance “Kecak.”

In the evening, we return to the hotel. Dinner. Rest.
Meals: breakfast included, lunch.
Day 6
(13.07.26)
After several intense days, we finally get a good night’s sleep. Enjoy a relaxed breakfast, check out, and board our minibuses. We head north of Bali toward Lake Beratan and the scenic mountain region of Munduk.
Our first stop today is Sangeh Monkey Forest, considered by many to be even more interesting than the famous Monkey Forest in Ubud. It preserves a magnificent ancient forest and the beautiful temple Pura Pucak Bukit Sari.

After walking through the forest and visiting the temple, we continue north.
We stop to see and touch the remarkable Wisata Kayu Putih — a giant tree believed to be one of the oldest and largest on the island. It is around 700 years old and about 70 meters tall. Balinese people treat such trees with great respect, which is why a small temple stands nearby.

Next, we head to Lake Beratan, where we visit the iconic Ulun Danu Beratan Temple, also known as the Water Temple. It features an 11-tiered pagoda and was built in the first half of the 17th century, in 1633.

The temple was used for offerings to Dewi Danu, the goddess of water, rivers, and lakes. The 11-tiered pagoda is dedicated to Shiva and his consort Parvati. The complex also includes a Buddha statue and a stupa. This is one of Bali’s most iconic and symbolic landmarks, making it a must-visit location.

Lunch is available on the temple grounds. Then we travel to the mountainous Munduk region, stopping along the way for photos at the famous Instagram spot — Handara Gates.

From there, we head to our scenic mountain-view 4★ hotel, where we will stay for the next two nights. The climate here is noticeably cooler, and in the evenings it can feel quite chilly — perfect weather for a fleece during dinner.

After check-in, we relax after a day full of impressions and enjoy views of the surrounding mountains. In the evening, dinner is served at the hotel restaurant.
Meals: breakfast included.
Day 7
(14.07.26)
We wake up fairly early, freshen up, and have breakfast. We take our cameras, swimwear, and towels, board the minibuses, and head to Banyu Amertha Waterfall, located nearby. Early in the morning, when there are hardly any visitors, it’s the perfect time for stunning photos.

To reach the waterfall, we descend about 15 minutes down a staircase. We swim, take photos, and then return to the parking area. Next, we head to another breathtaking waterfall — Banyumala Waterfall, one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Bali, an island that boasts hundreds of them.

Reaching this waterfall requires some effort, but the view, the refreshing swim in crystal-clear water, and the chance to capture incredible photos make it absolutely worthwhile.

After swimming, we return to the parking lot and head to lunch at a beautiful spot overlooking mountains and jungle. After lunch, we descend from the mountains to the picturesque Pura Ulun Danu Tamblingan Temple, located on the shores of Lake Tamblingan.

We walk around the temple grounds, meditate a little, and reflect on eternal matters. After visiting the temple, we return to our cozy hotel to relax.

We prepare for the next very active days of the expedition on Java Island. Dinner is on your own at the hotel.
Meals: breakfast included.
Day 8
(15.07.26)
We wake up, have breakfast, and check out. We board our minibuses and head to the ferry crossing to Java Island.
Arrival at a very cozy and beautiful hotel near Mount Ijen around 2:00–3:00 PM. Check-in, lunch, and dinner in the evening. We go to bed early to rest before the upcoming night adventure.
This night, we wake up around 3:00 AM, prepare all necessary trekking gear, don’t forget our flashlights, board local jeeps, and head to the national park.
The ascent to the crater of the world’s largest acidic volcano takes approximately 2–3 hours. We greet the sunrise and enjoy breathtaking morning views of the volcano and its acidic lake.

Mount Ijen is a source of sulfur widely used in industry. However, you won’t find factories or machinery here — people still work by hand, just as they did many years ago.

This is extremely hard and dangerous work. Men carry 60–70 kg baskets of sulfur up from the crater and down to collection points. The price per kilogram reaches about 1,000 rupiah, meaning a single trip earns around $4.5. Inside the crater lies a toxic acidic lake, which can only be accessed with permission from local guides. Descent into the crater is strictly done with respirators, as the fumes are highly toxic and unbearable.

(Food: breakfast included)
Day 9
(16.07.26)
We return to our hotel. Shower. Breakfast. A couple of hours of rest. We pack our belongings, board the minibuses, and head toward Mount Bromo. The drive takes about 7 hours with stops for restrooms, snacks, and stretching our legs.
Upon arrival at the hotel, we check into our rooms, have dinner, and go to bed early. Tonight, new and equally exciting adventures await us.

Meals: breakfast included.
Day 10
(17.07.26)
We wake up at 3:00 AM, take our warm clothes and trekking gear. We board the waiting jeeps and head to the foot of Mount Bromo. The ascent from the base to the crater rim takes about 20–30 minutes.

At sunrise, you will witness an incredibly magical and breathtaking scene. We welcome the sunrise, take plenty of photos, and enjoy the solitude and surrounding views. You can meditate or simply listen to the rumbling sounds of Bromo.

Sunrise over Mount Bromo is considered one of the most beautiful sunrises on the planet.

Around 7:30 AM, we return to the hotel. Shower. Delicious breakfast. We pack our bags, check out, and transfer by minibus to Surabaya Airport for a flight to Kalimantan (Borneo).
Upon arrival in Borneo, we meet our local guide team. Transfer to the port. Boarding our boats — 10–12 people per boat, plus a captain, crew members, and a cook.
We cruise along the river toward the national park, where over the next few days we will have many encounters with amazing orangutans and other wildlife.

In the evening, we arrive at the national park. Dinner, followed by a jungle walk to search for the famous bioluminescent mushrooms of Borneo.

We return to our boats and move to a quiet, secluded spot on the river for the night. Dinner and rest. Each guest is provided with a mattress, pillow, sheet, and a special mosquito net tent for comfortable sleeping directly on the boat deck.
Meals: breakfast and dinner included.
Day 11
(18.07.26)
We wake up to the surrounding sounds of the jungle. The captain and the team take the boats to the river, and we go to the planned point, where we will try to be the first guests to meet the orangutans, who often go to the river in the morning.

The crossing takes about 2 hours. While the ship is leaving, we have breakfast, get ourselves in order.
Having reached the place we need, the guides first disembark; settle the formalities related to visiting protected places.
We meet the first aborigines, who like to come in the morning and look at travelers.

Then we move deep into the park, where we can observe the life of orangutans in all their diversity.

Orangutans are great apes that live in the tropical forests of Indonesia and Malaysia. They are now found only in parts of Borneo and Sumatra, but in the Pleistocene, they lived throughout Southeast Asia and southern China. Orangutans are the largest tree monkeys. The growth of adult males can reach 1.5 m, body weight - 50-90 and even 100 kg. Females are much smaller: about 1 m tall with a weight of 30-50 kg.

The Kalimantan (Borneo) orangutan is larger than the Sumatran orangutan. The physique of orangutans is massive, with highly developed muscles. The hind limbs are short, the front limbs, on the contrary, are very long, reaching the bones.

The hair cover is sparse, reddish-brown, with long hair on the shoulders. The big toes can turn and oppose the rest of the toes, which is thought to be an adaptation for climbing trees. The head is large, with a wide face, a high forehead and a prominent muzzle. The sagittal and occipital crests are developed, there are no occipital ridges. Adult males have characteristic growths of fat and connective tissue on their cheeks, and have mustaches and beards.

We go back to our boat with many first-class photos. As we sail to our next destination today, we rest and then have lunch.
New landing, new meetings with orangutans and other monkeys that live in these regions.

For example, we will also have the opportunity to see monkeys, gibbons and the famous carrier monkeys.

We return to the boats and set off again. We move to a new place, where we spend the night on the river.

Rest. We have dinner on our boats.
(Meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner included)
Day 12
(19.07.26)
Early in the morning, we continue our acquaintance with the animal world of the island of Kalimantan. Considering what time our departure from the airport is, we make our plans for morning walks. Breakfast is on the board.

We say goodbye to the world of the jungle, where the kindest and most intelligent apes of the planet live. Then a 2-hour ferry ride to the port.

We bid farewell to the team that hosted us. Tips are given to the captain, local guides, cook, and crew members. Transfer to the airport. Flight to Surabaya, followed by a connection to Bali.
Evening arrival in Denpasar. Transfer to a cozy and comfortable 5-star hotel. Time to relax.
In the evening, we gather for a joint farewell dinner with the Paganel team.
Meals: breakfast included.
Day 13
(20.07.26)
We wake up and enjoy breakfast at the hotel. We say goodbye to one another — farewell hugs and tears. Saying goodbye to the amazing Indonesia.
Transfer to Denpasar Airport. Departure home.
Meals: breakfast included.
